Astrology originally is known as Jyotisha which is a “vedanga” means “part of Vedas”(sacred scriptures). The Vedanga are the limbs of Vedas, there are 6 Vedangas namely: Vyakaran, Chhanda, Shiksha, Nirukta, Kalpa and Jyotisha. Jyotisha is said to be the eyes of the Vedas. Lord Brahma (the God of creation) is the creater of the Jyothisha Shastra, It is believed that MahaRishi Parashara recevied Hora Shastra from Lord Brahma from which he created voluminous treatise on Vedic Astrology in his Brihat Parashar Hora Shastra.
The famous Swiss Psychologist and former Sigmund Freud's disciple Carl Gustav Jung in his letter to his Guru Freud stated his interest in the learning and teachings of alchemy and astrology. Practicals
For Regular and Weekend batch - Students are allowed to sit for Live Vedic Astrology Consultation By Acharya Bala Jagannathan ji and Team
Duration of Courses
- Regular/Weekend/Online are conducted
- Regular Three months of Jyotish Vidya Bala Patta will be four sessions in a week, two on Saturdays and two on Sundays with practice and temple services.
- Research Project to be submitted at the end of the class.
Eligibility To Learn
Minimum qualification to Jyotisha Bala Patta is Higher Secondary Examination or S.S.L.C or a equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects besides proficiency in spoken and written English or Tamil. The medium of instruction is English or Tamil and medium of examination is also English or Tamil (as per the choice exercised by the candidate at the time of admission).
